PUNJAB CM SAYS NO COMPROMISE ON WRIT OF STATE

  pr 14, 2021 LAHORE   -  Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar has directed the administration, as well as the police, to take indiscriminate action against the violators of law and made it clear that no compromise will be made on the writ of the State and the supremacy of law. The chief minister regretted that the people had to face difficulties due to the blocking of roads. “Extending an apology to the citizens, the chief minister said: “I cannot bear the agony of the people and blocking of roads is a condemnable act”. He warned that strict action will be initiated against the violators of the law.  The CM stressed that no permission will be granted to disrupt the routine life. He said he had been continuously monitoring the province-wise law & order situation the whole night. He said most of the roads had been restored due to timely action of police and the administration and monitoring will be continued till the complete restoration of routine life....

IG PUNJAB VOWS TO MAINTAIN STATE’S WRIT, TERMED MARTYRED OFFICERS’ HEROES OF POLICE

  Apr 15, 2021 Inspector General of Police (IGP) Punjab Inam Ghani on Wednesday said the officers and personnel who were martyred and injured due to the violence of Tehreek-e-Labbaik protesters are heroes of Punjab Police, and vowed that Punjab police will not spare any sacrifice for maintenance of the writ of estate. The police chief said that the mission of Punjab Police is to protect the lives and property of citizens and to maintain law and order, and the police officers and personnel have never spared any sacrifice in fulfilling this sacred mission. IGP expressed these views while talking to police personnel at Jinnah Hospital Lahore on the occasion of visiting the injured personnel by Tehreek-e-Labbaik protesters.   Apr 20, 2021 Police on high alert to maintain law & order: IGPLAHORE   -  Inspector General of Police (IGP) Punjab Inam Ghani on Monday said that any attempt or activity for spoiling peace would not succeed as the police were fully alert to protect the lives and property of the citizens and maintain the writ of state. He said that no organization, group or its activists deserved any concession to take the law into their own hands or damage the property of citizens under the guise of protest and strict legal action would be taken against such miscreants. FORMER IG NASIR KHAN DURRANI LAID TO REST

 Apr 21, 2021 LAHORE  -  Former IG Nasir Khan Durrani, who died of coronavirus on Monday was laid to rest in the graveyard of Defence Phase-7 here on Tuesday with the state protocol. Earlier, his funeral prayer was held at Police Training Centre Bedian Road, which was attended by Punjab Governor, IGP Punjab, Capital City Police Officer Lahore Additional IG Ghulam Mahmood Dogar and other senior police officers.     CCPO Lahore Ghulam Mahmood Dogar laid a floral wreath on the grave of Nasir Khan Durrani and offered fateh for  the departed soul. A contingent of police presented guard of honour to the grave of deceased police officer.   Apr 23, 2021 LAHORE   -  Inspector General of Police (IGP) Punjab Inam Ghani has said that during the violent protests of the banned outfit, the Punjab police personnel performed their duties with bravery and perseverance, which was fully appreciated at the governmental and public levels. He said this while addressing a ceremony at the Central Police Office  (CPO) here on Thursday.  He distributed Rs 500,000 each and CC-1 certificates among 11 injured Lahore and Sheikhupura police personnel. He visited all the injured one-by-one and gave them cash prizes and certificates of appreciation while the officers present at the function applauded and paid homage to the services of the brave personnel. Many shopkeepers were also arrested for running their businesses in violation of the Covid guidelines as well as people not wearing face masks. The major interventions were made in Iqbal Town, Ichhra and Wahdat Road where joint teams of the police, district government, Pakistan Army and Rangers got shops and markets closed that were open beyond the 6pm deadline.
